Bailey
(pictured above) Bailey is our darkest girl. She is a beautiful red color and has a lean body type. She is a big snuggler and a very loving dog but also independent and not so "in your face" as some of the others. She keeps her weight at about 55-60 lbs. Her puppies range in color from very dark to a couple of light ones. We think Bailey is beautiful!
Bailey is a 5 on the Shades of Golden scale.

Chloe’s puppies from litters past:
(pictured below) is the smallest of our females and has a golden coat. She is a field-bred golden and comes from a long line of hunting bloodlines. There are several Master Hunter Titles on her papers. Chloe is the fastest, most athletic of the dogs we have and loves her walks and runs in the fields. The retriever, working instincts are definitely bred into her. She is very intelligent and loves to work. Chloe is a fun dog! She will retrieve, swim, catch, and just loves to be played with! She is on the smaller size of about 54 lbs. While Chloe is not dark red, she does have some dark red puppies in each litter, as well as some on the lighter side. The bottom middle photo is a male puppy out of Chloe and Chief.
Chloe is a 4 on the Shades of Golden scale.

Belle
Candy (pictured above) is small and medium golden in color. She weighs 58 lbs. Candy is very sweet, quiet and loyal. On walks she rarely leaves your side even off of a leash!
She was our first mama dog and had the first litter of puppies! She has produced some of the best dogs! We love her so much we have kept one of her female puppies! We love her so much and have loved watching her puppies grow up! Unfortunately Candy passed away in March, 2020

Lucy (pictured above) is medium build (72 lbs) and very much a companion dog. She has a blocky head and stalky build. She always wants to be around people but is not obnoxious for attention. She has always been very calm and affectionate. Our twin babies learned to walk by holding on to Lucy while she stood or walked very slowly.
Huck
Huck was our original sire. We used him and him only for several years. He is a sweet, very loving dog who is also shy. We were approached by a couple looking for an adult dog, not a puppy, to love during their retirement years. It was the absolute PERFECT fit! Huck lives in Branson with our other dog Annie and the two are spoiled completely rotten! They are both in great health and look absolutely beautiful! We get updates from them often.
Annie
Annie was the third dog to join Finley River Retrievers. She and Huck have had some of the most gorgeous dogs I've seen! Several are pictured on our Past Litters page. Annie was a very good mama and is a super sweet, nice size dog. Annie had a few tries at not getting pregnant. Her main issue on our farm was that the other female dogs really made her anxious. She wanted to be the alpha. It made it difficult for us but honestly I don't think she was as happy as she could be either. When the couple from the story above contacted me, I knew Annie could be perfect for them too. I can't say it enough how well that worked out. Annie and Huck got to stay together, yet get away from the other dogs and again, are now spoiled rotten and loving life! We are so thankful!
Moose
Moose was a well behaved, well trained dog. He weighed about 65 lbs and belonged to our friend who used him for duck hunting. There are several Master Hunter Titles on his papers. His sire is the all-time leading Golden Retriever in Derby points. He was a high energy dog who was ready to work and had the instincts to retrieve and follow commands. He had a blonde undercoat and a golden color along his back. Unfortunately, Moose passed away.
